Tim Anderson

Tim Anderson – Chair

Anderson Financial Partners, Inc.

Tim Anderson serves as Vice Chair of of the Pine Castle Board of Directors and formerly served as its Treasurer. Tim became a board member in 2022. He is the managing director of Anderson Financial Partners. Prior to joining Anderson, Tim was a practicing attorney specializing in medical malpractice defense and commercial defense litigation. Although Tim no longer actively practices law, he continues to find a great deal of satisfaction advocating for his pro bono clients on a regular basis.

Tim graduated from the Boston College School of Management Honors Program with a degree in accounting and finance and attended a General Course Degree program at the London School of Economics. He is also a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a member of the Florida Bar.

In addition to Pine Castle, Tim is involved in the community in various ways including as a guest lecturer at the University of Florida, College of Law and as a recent member of the Jacksonville Library Board of Trustees. He continues to serve the Atlantic Beach Police Pension Board and is a regular volunteer at his children’s school. Tim is also Chair for the Retirement Plan Committee.

Tony Bellamy

Tony Bellamy is a current member of the Board of Directors of Pine Castle. Tony became a board member in 2022.

Tony is an experienced Director of Project Management within the transportation, trucking, and railroad industry. He is skilled in Rail Safety, Operations Management, Government, Railway Signalling, and Project Estimation.

Tony earned his Master’s with a focus in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of South Florida.

Amanda Bessicks

Baptist Health

Amanda Bessicks became a board member in 2025.  She is an attorney licensed to practice in the State of Maryland.  Amanda works for Baptist Health as an Executive Director in the Government and Vendor Relations area.  She is an experienced attorney skilled in leadership, regulatory compliance and advocating for clients and organizations.  Amanda possesses strong communication and negotiation skills, is adept at analyzing complex legal issues and develops effective strategies to support organizational interests.  She was a board member at the Theatre Jacksonville and a mentor at the University of North Florida to a student that comes from an at-risk environment. 

Pat Borowy

Pat Borowy

Pat Borowy became a board member in 2025.  She has a Masters in Early Childhood Education.  Pat taught kindergarten for fifteen years in Maryland and Florida.  Pat and Dr. Thom Borowy have two children, Megan and Hayden.  Pat loves to travel, work with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as children and adults with mental health issues.  Pat is actively involved in the Bolles Retired Administrators and Teachers Society.  

Kendall Bryan

Vicar’s Landing

Kendall Bryan became a board member in 2021. He is the Executive Director at
Vicar’s Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Before joining Vicar’s Landing, he started a small business in College Station, Texas, serving the students at Texas A & M University. Kendall sold the company to a local family and moved back to Jacksonville and began a career in real estate primarily providing real estate appraisals in the five-county area. During this time, he was able to attend the University of North Florida where Kendall completed his degree in Health Administration. He was a member of the Upsilon Phi Delta Society, a national academic honor society for students in healthcare administration. He received the
Leadership in Community Service Award from the UNF Center for Aging Research and was on the Dean’s List and President’s Honor Roll.

Mr. Bryan completed an Administrator in Training Program at Vicar’s Landing in 2011 with Bruce Jones acting as Preceptor. He joined the company in 2013 as Director of Health Services for then-LCPS Community Glenmoor, his role having expanded to include the Vicar’s Landing community where he oversaw the assisted living facility, skilled nursing, wellness clinic, rehabilitation, and the Vicar’s Landing Home Health Agency. Most recently he was promoted to Executive Director, a role with a primary responsibility in overseeing all operations of the community.

He currently resides in Ortega Forest with his wife, Grace, whom he met in the fifth grade and their son, Henry. He is a founding member of his church and has served on the vestry and in other ministry areas.

Jill Cole

Deercreek Women’s Alliance

Jill Cole became a board member in 2023.  Jill is a member of the Deercreek Women’s Alliance (DWA) since 2001 serving as the secretary since 2017.  She is a member of the Deercreek Home & Garden Club since 2001 serving as past Secretary and current Director of Programming and Special Events, the Deercreek Ladies Golf Association since 2015 serving as past Vice President and Secretary.  Jill is also a member of the Women’s giving Alliance at the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.  She served as a full-time volunteer from 2008-2020 with the Jacksonville Humane Society.  Jill donates her time to The Gabriel House of Care which serves meals to families staying at the Gabriel House while undergoing organ transplantation at Mayo.  Her other volunteer opportunities are Pace Center for Girls, Tennis is For Everyone and Special Olympics Florida.  Jill was instrumental in bringing Tennis is For Everyone to Pine Castle.

Moran Environmental Recovery, LLC

Leslie Detlefsen became a board member in 2022.

Leslie is a Business Development Specialist at Moran Environmental Recovery, LLC (MER) and strives to bring professionalism and fun to her workday. Leslie and her company have been actively engaged with Pine Castle since 2008. One of her first meetings was through the Pine Castle Independence Day Golf Outing. Leslie volunteered and later served on the golf committee where she, and others at MER, fell in love with the culture at Pine Castle. She was instrumental in the implementation of the Inspirations/Ambassadors program. MER and Water Recovery, LLC (a subsidiary of MER) support Pine Castle through monetary donations and have provided employment for Bobby Higgins and Amy Beddow through our Community Employment program.

Billy Frick became a board member in 2021.

Billy is the founder and President of American Electrical Contracting. He has more than 44 years of experience and holds many certifications, including a Master Electrician License and Florida Electrical Contractors License. As President, his main focus is on the development of his team and a commitment to serving as the best electrical contractors and service providers in Jacksonville, Florida.

Retired HealthCare Executive

James (“Jim”) Henry retired in March 2012.  He was the Co-Founder, President and CEO of Diversified Clinical Services, a corporation which became the nation’s largest disease management company focused on clinical wound care and hyperbaric medicine.  Prior to the founding of Diversified in 1997, Mr. Henry had extensive management experience.    For over 22 years he held top CEO positions in the managed healthcare industry with companies such as Prudential Health Care, Principal Health Care and Heritage Health Systems.

He currently serves on a number of community boards in the Jacksonville area including the First Tee of North Florida (Chairman, 2015-2016), All Things New, an orphanage based in Haiti (chairman, 2019-2022) and Pine Castle, Inc. (chairman, 2013-2014) where he continues to serve as Board Member Emeritus.  Mr. Henry was also a volunteer counselor with SCORE Jacksonville and was actively engaged in mentoring entrepreneurs and start-up companies.  He was a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Health at the University of North Florida and is past President of the Florida Association of HMOs and The American Association of Wound Care Management. 

Sarah Houpert

Sarah Houpert was on the Board of Directors at Pine Castle from 2018 – 2023, served as Chairperson from 2021-2022, and is now returning to the Board in 2024.  She is also the Voting Member of the Board of Trustees for the Clinton Family Fund – a philanthropic fund whose primary mission is to support arts and education and environmental related organizations around the country.  Sarah has been a teacher since 1989.  She has taught various grades from Pre-K to 5th grade and is currently teaching First Grade.  

Mrs. Houpert has played on Working Women’s Tennis teams since 2009 and enjoys playing tennis several times a week.  Sarah is married to her husband Hank and they have 2 children, Mallory 25 and Grant 22.    

Richard Lasseter – Vice Chair

U.S Attorney’s Office, Civil Division

Rick Lasseter became a board member in 2023.  He is a native of Valdosta, Georgia and has lived in Jacksonville since 2005.  Rick is an attorney with diverse experience representing a wide variety of clients in civil litigation.  His experience in the private sector has involved firm and personnel management in addition to his active practice of law.  He is involved in the Hendricks Avenue Elementary School Advisory Counsel, has coached with the Hendricks Avenue Baseball League, has volunteer experience with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, and is a past Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Foundation Board Member. 

Sara Ley

Sara Ley serves as Secretary of the Pine Castle Board of Directors.

Sara became a board member in 2021 and serves as the Chair of the Programs Committee. Sara is the Head of Digital & Tech Practice at Johnson & Johnson. She has over 20 years of experience delivering global solutions across technology, professional services, industrial, aviation, healthcare, transportation, energy, and finance industries.

Sara is an eminent speaker at conferences including SXSW, IMPACT, Masie, and CLO Symposium. She has received three Brandon Hall Award Golf Awards and Excellence Awards by ATD.

Jessica Ligator

Jacksonville University

Jessica Ligator became a board member in 2022.  She is the Director of Capital Projects at Jacksonville University.  Jessica oversees all areas of the planning, design and construction for capital projects on a 240-acre campus.  Some of the major projects include the Williams Hall renovation, Frisch Family Welcome Center, Jacksonville Lacrosse Center and the Health Sciences Complex.  Jessica has her Project Management Professional certification, LEED AP and OSHA 30 certification.  She lives in Riverside with her husband and two children.

Edward Lombard

Ed Lombard became a board member in 2023 and previously served six years as a board member with Pine Castle. He is a member of the RC of West Jacksonville Rotary Club and held numerous positions such as President, secretary and treasurer.  Ed has been awarded the prestigious Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation and is a successful financial advisor for over 23 years. 

He is currently serving on the following boards:  J.T. Townsend Foundation, Legatus, Flagler College Alumni Board, Knight of Columbus 4th Degree.  Past board service includes:  Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Broach School. 

Dave Medvidofsky

Dave Medvidofsky became a board member in 2022.  He is the Senior Vice President, Product & Operations at Main Street America Group. During his career he has held executive positions in underwriting, marketing, operations, corporate strategy, communications, internal audit and human resources. Among the things he is proudest of professionally is sponsoring and leading the company’s first Business Resource Group focused on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

Dave is a summa cum laude graduate of Franklin Pierce University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in business management and a Master’s degree in leadership. Dave holds multiple insurance designations and is a passionate and engaged volunteer on many industry boards and committees including past President and Chair of the CPCU Society and current board member for the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.

Dave and his wife have been married for over 35 years. Together they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Jerry Okona

Jerry is a member who has over 30 years of experience in consumer financial services and has a diverse background in credit and regulatory compliance risk management. Currently he is a practitioner of Operations Risk Management. He has several leadership experiences including Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and Senior Risk Management Officer.  Jerry was involved in industry trade groups such as Mortgage Bankers Association and The Structured Finance Association. da

Jerry graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Business Administrator and Mercer University with a Master of Business Administration.

Amy Ruth serves as Chair of the Pine Castle Board of Directors. Amy became a board member in 2020. Amy is the Chief Human Resources Officer with GuideWell/Florida Blue. She brings extensive knowledge of business operations, human capital development, talent management, and continuous improvement to provide executive leadership for the company’s human resources.

Amy is an active Northeast Florida community member. She also serves on the Board of Directors for GuideWell Source, Inc. and as Chair of its Personnel & Compensation Committee.
